Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Arrive in Beijing and meet your local team. The group receives a briefing with safety notes, travel rhythm, academic focus, and field observation method.
Day 2: Imperial Beijing and National Heritage
Visit selected imperial heritage sites in Beijing. The focus is on imperial power, ritual order, architecture, symbolism, and how national heritage is presented today.
Day 3: Great Wall and Historical Geography
Visit a suitable section of the Great Wall. Students discuss geography, defense, communication, heritage tourism, and the Great Wall as a cultural symbol.
Day 4: Hutong Life, Urban Memory, and Travel to Luoyang
Explore a hutong or traditional neighborhood to observe community space, urban change, local life, and heritage in daily living.
Later, travel from Beijing to Luoyang.
Day 5: Luoyang Ancient Capital Culture and Longmen Grottoes
Explore Luoyang’s ancient capital identity and visit Longmen Grottoes.
Students observe Buddhist sculpture, cave temples, inscriptions, landscape setting, and heritage interpretation.
Day 6: Dengfeng, Shaolin Temple, and Sacred Landscape
Travel to Dengfeng for a field study day around Shaolin Temple and Mount Song.
Students explore religious space, Buddhist heritage, martial culture, temple layout, performance culture, and sacred landscape experience.
Day 7: Travel to Xi’an and Ancient Capital Introduction
Travel from Luoyang or Dengfeng to Xi’an.

Day 8: Terracotta Warriors and Archaeological Evidence
Visit the Terracotta Warriors.

Explore selected Xi’an sites, neighborhoods, museums, food culture, or city wall areas.

Day 10: Final Reflection and Departure
Students complete a final reflection activity, such as group sharing, short presentation, field note review, or “Civilization and Heritage in China” task.
The group then transfers to the airport or train station.
