Open Top Container (Abbreviation: OT Container)

Open Top Container (short for OT) is a special shipping container without a fixed steel roof. It is equipped with detachable steel roof bows plus a heavy-duty waterproof tarpaulin (soft-top as the mainstream option), while a small portion adopts a removable solid steel hardtop. The header rail above the rear doors can be detached. Its side panels and base frame follow the standard dry container steel structure with equivalent watertight performance, available for sea, truck, and rail intermodal transport. Standard sizes include 20ft OT & 40ft OT. Before loading, users can roll up the tarpaulin and remove the roof bows, then load cargo from the top by overhead crane, perfectly solving loading troubles for over-height & overweight oversized goods which cannot pass through the rear end doors of regular containers.
