Product Introduction
The Bimetallic Steam Trap is a thermostatic steam trap that uses the deformation of bimetallic elements to automatically discharge condensate while preventing live steam loss. It is especially suitable for high-pressure, superheated steam, and steam tracing applications where durability, energy efficiency, and reliable performance are essential.
Its rugged construction and corrosion-resistant materials ensure stable operation under demanding industrial conditions.

Working Principle
The Bimetallic Steam Trap operates by utilizing the different thermal expansion rates of two bonded metals.
- During start-up, the bimetallic element remains relaxed, allowing air and cold condensate to discharge quickly.
- As steam temperature rises, the bimetallic element bends and gradually closes the valve.
- Condensate cools before discharge, causing the element to return to its original shape and reopen the valve.
- This cycle repeats automatically, ensuring efficient condensate removal while minimizing steam loss.
Because condensate is discharged at a temperature slightly below saturation, the trap helps maximize the use of sensible heat and improve overall system efficiency.
