Container House

A container is no longer used for transport alone. Modular container buildings are now put to work around the world as houses, shops, offices, canteens, clinics and site accommodation, because the steel box built to cross an ocean is also a strong, weatherproof and relocatable structure. Our container buildings are engineered to a seismic design rating of grade 8, and they arrive ready to connect — water and power are hooked up on site and the unit is in use.

Choosing one comes down to four decisions. What the space is for: an office, a shop, a house, a canteen, a welfare block or secure storage — the use drives the layout, the doors and windows, and the services inside. Size and how many units: 10ft, 20ft and 40ft single units, or several joined and stacked into a two-storey building, so check the site dimensions and the truck and crane access before the layout is fixed. Level of finish: shell only, or fully fitted with insulation, wiring, lighting, plumbing, air conditioning, flooring and paint, including your branding. Delivery form: assembled and ready to place, or flat-packed and folded for lower freight cost and assembly on site.

Structure, insulation and fit-out are specified per project, and size, colour, graphics, doors, windows and interior layout are all made to order. Where the unit has to satisfy local rules on permits, wind and seismic loading or fire performance, tell us the destination and we will confirm the specification that meets it.
