How to determine whether a pool cue is made of genuine carbon fiber or not

As carbon fiber pool cues become increasingly common, a variety of such carbon fiber pool cues are available on the market at different prices. How can we choose a genuine carbon fiber pool cue?
Carbon fiber is a novel fiber material with a carbon content of over 95%, featuring high strength, high modulus, and heat resistance; it is the best among all synthetic fibers in terms of heat resistance. It is obtained by carbonizing and graphitizing organic fibers, genuine carbon fiber pool cueresulting in a microcrystalline graphite material in which flaky graphite microcrystals are arranged along the axis of the fiber.
Carbon fiber possesses properties such as light weight, high strength, high modulus, heat resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, and a low coefficient of expansion.

Carbon fiber
Application areas: aerospace, electricity, new energy, major infrastructure projects, etc. Structure: Incomplete graphite crystals are arranged along the fiber axis.
Density: 1.5~2.0 g/cm3
Features: lightweight, high strength, high modulus, heat resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, etc.
By understanding the properties of carbon fiber, we know how to distinguish between genuine and fake carbon fiber. In the market, there are many unscrupulous sellers who use inexpensive glass fiber to pass it off as carbon fiber. Glass fiber looks similar to carbon fiber, but it is brittle, resistant to impacts only to a limited extent, and has poor wear resistance; compared to carbon fiber, glass fiber is heavy, with a density of 2.4–2.7g/cm3.
Therefore, carbon fiber pool cues and glass fiber pool cues differ significantly in playing feel and performance.
