Product Introduction
Feed-grade monocalcium phosphate (MCP), with the chemical formula  or (monohydrate), is a highly bioavailable phosphorus and calcium supplement feed additive in the aquaculture industry. Its core function is to provide animals with efficiently absorbable phosphorus and calcium elements.
core function
Provide high utilization rate of phosphorus to promote growth and metabolism
The phosphorus in MCP exists in the form of water-soluble dihydrogen phosphate, which can be directly absorbed by the intestines without additional decomposition by animal stomach acid. Its bioavailability is much higher than that of monocalcium phosphate, tricalcium phosphate, and other phosphates (the utilization rate can reach over 90%).
Phosphorus participates in key physiological processes in animals, such as ATP synthesis, cell membrane construction, and genetic material replication. It can effectively prevent issues such as growth stagnation, low feed conversion efficiency, and decreased reproductive performance caused by phosphorus deficiency in animals.
Supplement calcium to synergistically strengthen bone and overall body functions
The calcium content of MCP is approximately 15%–22%, with a calcium-to-phosphorus ratio of about 1:2.2, catering to the needs of young animals and high-yield livestock and poultry. Calcium is not only a major component of bones and teeth, but also plays a role in nerve conduction, muscle contraction, and blood coagulation regulation. It can reduce the occurrence of rickets in young animals and osteoporosis in adult animals.
Adjust the pH level of feed to enhance palatability and processing characteristics
MCP is weakly acidic, capable of neutralizing some alkaline substances in feed, adjusting the pH value of feed, and increasing animal feed intake. At the same time, its powder has good fluidity and is not prone to agglomeration, allowing it to be evenly dispersed in compound feed and ensuring the consistency of nutritional components.
Applicable scenarios
Livestock and poultry breeding: It is particularly suitable for young livestock and poultry such as piglets, chickens, and ducklings (whose digestive systems are not yet fully developed and have weak absorption capacity for insoluble phosphorus), as well as high-yield livestock and poultry such as laying hens and lactating cows. It can enhance the egg-laying rate, eggshell hardness, and milk yield.
Aquaculture: Aquatic animals such as fish, shrimp, and crab have a high demand for phosphorus. The water-soluble phosphorus in MCP can be quickly absorbed, promoting carapace hardening and bone growth, and reducing the malformation rate of aquatic animals.
