According to available information, Wu Yize was born on October 14, 2003, in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. He began playing billiards at the age of 7. In 2018, he overcame the Thai player Pongsakorn to win the IBSF World Youth U21 Championship, and together with Pang Junxu he secured third place in the team events of the Asian Championships, thus gaining recognition on the international billiards stage. Video footage from the event showed that during the award ceremony, Wu Yize’s parents covered him with the national flag, watching him speak with tears in their eyes. Wu Yize expressed his deep gratitude to his parents for their support over the years, saying that they were the real champions.
